Rest in Peace, Mary Travers
I grew up singing PP&M songs. I sang them with my friends and at camp. I became a camp counselor, and we sang their songs at camp.
I was so sad to hear that Mary had died. I spent yesterday evening watching YouTube videos of her singing. What a beautiful, melodious voice she had, and how she used that voice for peace and justice.
RIP, Mary. You are missed.

We played Puff The Magic Dragon for our kids today in tribute. My 3yo went to bed singing it.
I also grew up listening to PP&M and SWORE I was "Jackie Paper." It never phased me that he was a boy. lol
She will indeed be missed.

Oh Annie,
what an impact she (they) had on us. I still can remember singing songs at the Eisman's house.

Came across you from a group thread on Ravelry. When I saw your blog titled RIP Mary Travers, I thought back to that day. I as well played the CD's that I have from PP&M. There songs brought back so many memories good and bad of those times and where we are today. She had a beautiful voice.
